Who is Gary Thompson?

Gary Thompson is a former Canadian international and North American Soccer League forward.Thompson played 7 times for Canada, four games in 1976 and three in 1977. He was an inaugural member of the Vancouver Whitecaps of the NASL, and played a total of three seasons - 1974 through 1977.Thompson was a member of the 1972 Canadian Olympic soccer team. He played in the qualifying match against Bermuda, won by Canada 3-0 in Hamilton, Bermuda.Has played against Pelé. Gary has 4 children and lives with his wife, Elizabeth, in Vancouver.
