Who is Gavin Duffy?

Gavin Duffy is an Irish sportsperson. Duffy is a former international rugby union footballer who primarily played at full back. He last played professionally for Irish provincial side Connacht Rugby, in the Pro 12, and represented Ireland at full international level.

Duffy also plays Gaelic football, and is currently part of the wider Mayo squad at inter-county level. He had previously represented the county at under-age level.

Educated at Cistercian College, Roscrea and UCG he first played for Ireland at Schools level in 1998 and at Under-21 level before he was brought into their senior side during the 2000–01 season. He is also a graduate of the prestigious sports college Setanta College.
