Who is Greg Shafley?
Greg Shafley is a visual artist and printmaker living and working in Northern Ontario. Greg Shafley received his Bachelor of Fine Arts at Mount Allison University in 1975. He is a member of the Ontario Society of Artists, as well as the Society of Canadian Artists.
His etchings capture and reflect the natural beauty of his Northern Ontario home. As a printmaker, Shafley involves himself with two essential processes in the creation of his art—the technical aspect of working with acids on metal, inks and presses and the aesthetic response to the subject matter.
Shafley's work has been shown in galleries across Canada, and in shows including the One of a Kind show in Toronto, the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition, and the Signatures Art Show in Ottawa.
