Who is Halah bint Wahb?
Halah bint Wahb ibn Abd Manaf ibn Zuhrah was one of 'Abd al-Muttalib ibn Hashim's wives.
She married 'Abd al-Muttalib the same day as her first cousin Aminah bint Wahb ibn ‘Abd Manaf ibn Zuhrah, the mother of Islamic prophet Muhammad married Abd Allah ibn Abd al Muttalib.
She was the mother of Hamza, Safiyyah, al-Muqaowwim and Ḥajl/Ḥijl
Thus Hamza was related to Muhammad in several ways. Another sister, Umm Fadl, was married to ‘Abbas ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib, another uncle of Muhammad.
She has been described by some scholars as Halah bint Wuhayb ibn 'Abd Manaf ibn Zuhrah. Her brothers included Abu Waqqas and Naufal.
