Who is Haley Mellin?
Haley Mellin is an artist based in New York City. Mellin received her undergraduate degree in Painting from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004 and was admitted into the Whitney Museum of American Art ISP and received a doctorate at New York University in Visual Studies.
Her work is exhibited internationally and features in prominent collections. She has curated a number of exhibitions in regards to contemporary art in various New York galleries, museums, and alternative spaces and has shown in various galleries, museums, and alternative spaces including the Palais de Tokyo, and RENTAL. Recent exhibitions include the SculptureCenter New York, the Fondation Cartier pour l'Art Contemporain, Paris and Art in General, New York. Palais de Tokyo, Paris, France, Explorers Club, New York, NY, Museum of Modern Art, San Francisco, CA, Art Basel Miami Beach, Miami, FL, Whitney Museum ISP, New York, NY, Biennale, Liverpool, England, U.C. Berkeley University Gallery, Berkeley, CA, Yale University Gallery, New Haven, CT, Christie’s, Marianne Boesky Gallery, FIAF, and Untitled Gallery in New York.

Mellin was born with the name Riley, and changed her name in reference to Alex Haley.
