Who is Hussain Ali-Khan?

Hussain Ali-Khan was named vice president, real estate development of The New York

Times Company in November 2004. In this role, Mr. Ali-Khan is responsible for the

acquisition, development, operation and management of The New York Times's real

estate portfolio. Prior to that he was the executive managing director of real estate

development from November 1999 until October 2004. Previously he was an assistant

plant manager at The New York Times's facility in Edison, New Jersey.

Before joining The Times, Mr. Ali-Khan was the Plant Manager at the Burlington Container

Plant of St. Laurent Paperboard. From 1993 until 1996, he was a Project Manager

with The Rydberg Levy Group, an international management consulting firm specializing

in improving productivity through empowering people.

From 1991 until 1993, Mr. Ali-Khan worked at The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce

as a salesman on the precious metals desk and is a graduate of the CIBC Treasury

Development program. Prior to that Mr. Ali-Khan was an infantry officer in the Canadian

Armed Forces from 1984 until 1989, he served with the Canadian Airborne Centre and

The Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry.

Mr. Ali-Khan earned a B.A. in English and Philosophy from the Royal Military College

of Canada in 1984 and a M.B.A. from The University of Western Ontario's Richard

Ivey School of Business in 1991.
