Who was Ilona Duczyńska?
Ilona Duczynska, was a Polish-Hungarian-Canadian revolutionary, translator, and the wife of Karl Polanyi.
She helped plan the failed assassination of István Tisza during the First World War. She studied at the Technical University of Zurich and after World War I she emigrated to Canada.
In 1975 she published her book Workers in Arms: The Austrian Schutzbund and the Civil War of 1934.
