Who was Issy Bonn?
Issy Bonn was a British Jewish actor, singer and comedian, most famous for his recording of My Yiddishe Momme. He also appeared in two films, I Thank You in 1941 and Discoveries in 1939, where he played Mr. Schwitzer. He played on BBC Radio music shows, and in music halls before retiring to become a theatrical agent. His image appears on the cover of The Beatles album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. He died on his 74th birthday in London, UK, where he was born.
His popular "I'm In Love With Two Sweethearts" was very popular in 1946 and may have reached No.1 had charts been available at the time.
