Who is Jack Kingston?

John Heddens "Jack" Kingston is the U.S. Representative for Georgia's 1st congressional district in Southeast Georgia, serving since 1993. He is a member of the Republican Party and was part of the House leadership from 2002-2006 when he served as vice-chair of the Republican Conference. He has announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate seat currently occupied by retiring Senator Saxby Chambliss.
