Who was James Duncan?
James Duncan was an American athlete, a member of the Mohawk Athletic Club, the Bradhurst Field Club and the Irish American Athletic Club. He competed mainly in the discus throw. Duncan was a member of the U.S. Olympic Team in the 1912 Summer Olympics held in Stockholm, Sweden and competed in the discus throw, winning the won the bronze medal. During World War I he rose to the rank of Lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
