Who was Jiří Pecka?

Jiří Pecka was a Czechoslovak slalom and sprint canoeist who competed from the late 1940s to the late 1950s. He was born in Prague.

Pecka won a silver medal in the C-2 10000 m event at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. He also won a bronze medal in the C-2 1000 m event at the 1950 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in Copenhagen.

At the ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships he won a total of four medals with a gold, a silver and two bronzes.
