Who is Jim Hilyer?
Jim Hilyer was the first head coach in the history of the University of Alabama at Birmingham Blazers college football team. He was a four-year letterwinner offensive guard and linebacker, he earned his B. S. in Physical Education and Biology at Stetson University in 1957. He also has an M.S. in Educational Administration/Educational Psychology and earned his M.P.H. in Health Promotion/Health Behavior from UAB.
