Jim Merselis

Who is Jim Merselis?

Jim Merselis joined HemoSense in June of 2002. Mr. Merselis has over 25

years of experience in senior management assignments in domestic and

international marketing, sales, research development and general

management in the Laboratory Diagnostics, Biochemical, Diabetes and

Point of Care markets.Prior to joining HemoSense, Mr. Merselis

was CEO of Micronics, Inc. a Redmond, WA. start-up. While at Micronics,

Mr. Merselis led the commercialization of its unique microfluidics

technology, raised several rounds of investment capital and established

key strategic partnerships.Mr. Merselis began his career in

marketing and sales at Boehringer Mannheim Corporation (now Roche

Diagnostics), where over the course of 22 years he was awarded

increasing management and profit responsibility, resulting in his

appointment to the position of Senior Vice President, General Manager,

and member of the board in 1997.Mr. Merselis earned his

Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University

and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard School of

Business.
