Jiří Šlégr is a retired Czech professional ice hockey defenseman who is in the Czech Ice Hockey Hall of Fame. Šlégr resides in a prestigious club, having won a gold medal for the Czech Republic teams, in both the 1998 Olympics and the 2005 World Championships. In addition, he captured a Stanley Cup in 2002 as a member of the Detroit Red Wings.
