Who is John Brunning?

John Brunning is an English musician, radio presenter and composer. He is best known for his regular broadcasts on Classic FM.

Brunning was born in Essex. He learned guitar and played for a time with the successful band Mungo Jerry. In 1986 he began broadcasting on local radio. He joined Classic FM at around the time it began broadcasting in 1992. He is married with two children.

Brunning's 2006 composition, Pie Jesu, was recorded by the vocal group All Angels, and is the best known of his works to date. His other works include the guitar pieces Sahara and Romance No.1, both recorded by Xuefei Yang.
