Who is John Hazen?

John Hazen was an American former professional basketball player. A 6'2" guard from Indiana State University, Hazen played one season in the Basketball Association of America as a member of the Boston Celtics. He averaged 3.0 points per game and 0.5 assists per game.

Hazen played two seasons for the Indiana State Sycamores under legendary Coach John Wooden; in Hazen's second season, he helped them reach the title game of the NAIA Men's Division I Tournament.

The 1948 season marked the beginning of integrated post-season tournament play, as Clarence Walker and Indiana State broke the barrier.
