Who is Joshua Hornick?
Joshua Hornick currently lives in Amherst, Massachusetts and has a background in law and education. Hornick co-founded the Community Capital Bank of Brooklyn, and according to his website, helped "rescue the ailing City National Bank of New Jersey."
Hornick gave up law and began teaching science and education in New York City in the early 1990s. He taught in New York for several years before moving to Amherst, where he founded the homeschooling community Pathfinder Learning Center, now known as North Star: Self-directed Learning for Teens.
Hornick continues to serve as Board President of North Star. He also teaches robotics at Holyoke Community College and is active as a leadership coach with CoachVille.
He also teaches math to a group of high school students in Greenfield, Massachusetts. He is married and has two sons, and is a vegetarian.
