Who is Kerstin Lindblad-Toh?
Kerstin Lindblad-Toh, born 1970, is a Swedish scientist. She is a Scientific Director at the Broad Institute, and currently a professor in comparative genomics at Uppsala University and Director of the Uppsala branch of the Science for Life Laboratory. As the leader of the Broad Institute's Mammalian Genome Initiative she has led the effort to sequence and analyze the genomes of various mammals, including mouse, dog, chimpanzee, horse and opossum.
She received her Ph.D. in 1998 at Karolinska Institutet. Lindblad-Toh is an elected member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Science.
