Who was Kevin Boland?
Kevin Boland was an Irish politician. He was first elected to Dáil Éireann in 1957 as a Teachta Dála for Fianna Fáil. He served as Minister for Defence, Minister for Social Welfare and Minister for Local Government. He holds the distinction of being one of only five TDs to be appointed Minister on their first day in the Dáil.
