Who is Krikor Beledian?

Krikor Beledian is a prolific Armenian writer, literary critic, and translator living in France.

He was born in Beirut and moved to Paris in 1967, where he studied philosophy at the Sorbonne. He has written dozens of volumes of poetry, novels, essays and critical works. Beledian lives in Paris and teaches at the Catholic University of Lyon as well as at the INALCO in Paris.

Beledian's work has been published in Lebanon, Armenia, France, and in the United States. His essay on Yeghishe Charents has been translated into English by G.M. Goshgarian and published in Charents: Poet of the Revolution.
