Who is Kyle Cheney?
Kyle Cheney is an Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League. Taken by the Melbourne Demons with the 53rd selection in the 2007 AFL National Draft, Cheney plays as a medium defender. He was recruited from North Ballarat, finishing second in their 2007 best and fairest count. Cheney debuted in the first round of the 2009 season.
Cheney was traded to Hawthorn in 2010 for a third round draft pick. He played his last Melbourne game in an exhibition match against Brisbane Lions after being traded. Melbourne won by five points.
In his first at season at Hawthorn he played in eight games and kicked his first goal in the AFL against Essendon .
In 2013, Cheney won Box Hill's Best and Fairest in a premiership year for the club.
