Who is Lee Hsien Yang?

Lee Hsien Yang is the second son of Singapore's first Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew. He is currently the Non-Executive Director and Chairman of Fraser and Neave Limited and chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.

Like his brother Lee Hsien Loong, Lee was awarded the President's Scholarship and the Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Scholarship by the Public Service Commission after finishing his secondary education at Catholic High School and pre-university education at National Junior College. He went to study at Cambridge University, graduated with a first class honours degree of Engineering in 1979, then a Master of Science degree under the Sloan Fellows programme from Stanford Graduate School of Business. He then returned to Singapore to serve in the Singapore Armed Forces, rising to the rank of Brigadier-General.
