Who is Leo Michael Toyad?

Dato' Sri Muhammad Leo Michael Toyad Abdullah is a Malaysian politician. He is currently the Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Mukah constituency in Sarawak, representing the Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu in the ruling Barisan Nasional coalition.

Toyad served as Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, until after the 2004 election when he was appointed Minister for Tourism to replace Kadir Sheikh Fadzir. He was dropped from the ministry 2006, in a move that surprised observers, to be replaced by Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor. He was re-elected in the 2008 election despite having earlier said he would retire from Parliament.
