Who is Leon Hounshell?
Leon is a 4HomeMedia co-founder, serves as chief executive, and leads the company'sproduct development team. He joined the company from Nearmedia, a
home automation software solutions developer, where he was Vice
President of Engineering. Prior to that, Leon was a co-founder and the
VP of Engineering for PRISMIQ, where he led the team that developed the
company’s award-winning digital media adapter product. Prior to
PRISMIQ, Leon was the Director of Software Engineering for Polycom’s
network access products division, launching a product line that
captured 80% of the worldwide market for integrated access devices.
Prior to Polycom, he was the Director of Software Engineering at Atlas
Communication Engines, which was acquired by Polycom in 1999. Early in
his career, Leon held senior software engineering roles at Compaq and
Dell, and he graduated with honors from the University of Florida in
Gainesville with a BSEE.
