Who is Leonora Jiménez?

Leonora Jimenez grew up in a small town. After finishing high school, she was in the national top 20 in her college entrance exam, and she dreamed of becoming a nutritionist. She has been a model since the age of 15.

Aside from modeling, she has worked as a park ranger in the Manuel Antonio National Park.

Her personal motto is “six times I fell down, seven times I got up.” Describing herself in three words, she said, “Faithful to myself.” Her unusual talent is her ability to catch snakes with her bare hands. She has also practiced kenpo karate for seven years (santabarbara.com).

Her favorite film is “Braveheart”; her favorite band is Pink Floyd, and her one wish, if granted, would be “for people all over the world to be more tolerant.” If she were stuck on a desert island the one person she would choose to be stuck with would be Nelson Mandela.

Leonora Jimenez said the best thing about her country, Costa Rica, is the “full awareness that we as a country value the nature, and the importance of keeping the balance between social, industrial development and nature care.”

Leonora’s hobbies include reading, dancing salsa, merengue, pop and jazz, aerobics, and extreme sports. She is a huge animal lover and has near menagerie of pets, including dogs, a squirrel, a monkey, doves and a toucan.

Leonora Jimenez has appeared on the Latin American version of “America’s Next Top Model,” and did promotions for a product she created called Vita Fitness. In 2012, she worked as a runway model for On Aura Tout vu, where she opened and closed the show.

Leonora Jimenez said in 2007 that she saw her future as an “entrepreneur and mother and wife, one does not have to be divorced from the other, the modern woman has sufficient vision to solve both roles fully.”
