Who was Leslie Heward?
Leslie Heward was an English composer and conductor.
Heward was born in Liversedge, Yorkshire, but became particularly associated with the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Halle.
He conducted the first performance and the first recording of Ernest John Moeran's Symphony in G minor.
