Liz Lands was an American soul singer,
Born Elizabeth Lands, she grew up in New York City. Her purported five octave vocal range started her Motown career before Gordy tried to make a name for her in the R&B/Pop market. She had a brief career away from Motown before disappearing altogether, until Ian Levine recorded her for his Motorcity label in the late 80's early 90's."
