Who is Lois Walfrid Johnson?
Lois Walfrid Johnson is a bestselling author who has written hundreds of shorter pieces, 38 books, and 19 updated editions. Her family-friendly work has been published in English-speaking countries throughout the world. Thirty-four of her books have been translated into other languages.
Lois has traveled to many parts of the United States, including Hawaii, to teach writing and inspirational topics at conferences, universities, writers' groups, Christian and public schools, homeschool coops and state conferences.
Four of Lois' books have received the Gold Medallion Book Award. Other awards include the C. S. Lewis Medal for Best Series in the year in which it was published, the Wisconsin State Historical Society Award of Merit for Distinguished Service to History, and five Silver Angel Awards from Excellence in Media.
Lois is married to Roy Johnson, an elementary teacher in Minneapolis for 28 years and then a counselor in northwest Wisconsin.
