Who was Louisa Martin?
Mary Louisa "Mollie" Martin was a tennis player from Ireland. She had a competitive rivalry with Lottie Dod from Great Britain.
In 1898 she reached the final of the Wimbledon Championships, but was beaten 6-4, 6-4 by Charlotte Cooper.
She won nine singles titles at the Irish Lawn Tennis Championships.
