Who is Lyman Stuart?
Birder, businessman, and friend of Arthur A. Allen, Lyman Stuart helped Allen create a physical home for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. He and others purchased and donated the farmland that became Sapsucker Woods Sanctuary. Stuart also helped finance the construction of the first building, dedicated in 1957.
