Lynne Cossman

Who is Lynne Cossman?

Jeralynn Sittig Cossman is Department Head and Chair in the department of sociology at Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi. Dr. Cossman is also a research fellow at the Social Science Research Center at Mississippi State University

Dr. Cossman has research and teaching interests in medical sociology, demography, and health services research. She works with the Social Science Research Center’s Mississippi Health Policy Research Center at Mississippi State University as a Research Fellow, examining issues related to health assessment, prevention, and social epidemiology. She is also the Director of the newly formed Northeast Mississippi Area Health Education Center.

Dr. Cossman received her B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. from Florida State University. She has published a number of articles in major journals, including
