Mark Skaletsky

Who is Mark Skaletsky?

Mr. Skaletsky has 30 years of experience

in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry. He has served as the Chairman,

President, and Chief Executive Officer of Trine Pharmaceuticals (formerly

Essential Therapeutics) since 2001. Prior to that, from 1993-2001, he

was President and Chief Executive Officer of GelTex Pharmaceuticals, which

was acquired by Genzyme in December 2000 for $1.3 Billion. From 1988-1993,

he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Enzytech, Inc. and Opta

Food ingredients. Prior to that he was President and Chief Operating Officer

for Biogen, Inc from 1981-1987 and in Marketing and Business Development

with Bristol-Myers from 1974-1980
