Who is Mary Leppert?

Mary Leppert is the founder and publisher of The Link Homeschool Newspaper; in 2010 it was renamed Homeschool Magazine.com and The Link/Homeschool Magazine.com editions are the largest all-inclusive homeschool publications in North America.

Ms. Leppert also wrote two editions of the best-selling book on homeschooling, The Homeschooling Almanac, 2000–2001 and 2002–2003, originally published by Prima Publishing

In early 2008, she completed The Homeschooling Book of Lists, published by Jossey-Bass, a division of John Wiley & Sons.

From 1997, to 2008, Mary produced The Link "kid comfortable" Homeschool Conferences in Los Angeles and in March, 2000, she produced The Link Conference in Greensboro, North Carolina. These conferences have featured such stellar homeschool speakers as John Taylor Gatto, Dr. Mary Hood, Pat Farenga, Dr. Richard Prystowsky, Diane Flynn Keith, Mariaemma Pelullo-Willis and Victoria Kindle-Hodson. They also revolutionized homeschool conferences by offering children's workshops and activities so parents were welcomed to bring their children to the conference and make a complete family event of it. Prior to this time, most homeschool conferences discouraged children from attending or provided minimal children's activities. The Link Homeschool Conferences raised the bar for other conferences.
