Matt McIlwain

Who is Matt McIlwain?

Matt McIlwain focuses on a broad range of software-driven companies for Madrona. He currently serves on the boards of Farecast.com, Illumita, Mixpo, PayScale, and World Wide Packets. He was on the boards of Isilon Systems (ISLN), iConclude (acquired by Opsware), Performant (acquired by Mercury Interactive) and was actively involved with TeamOn Systems (acquired by Research in Motion).

Previously, he was Vice President of Business Process for the Genuine Parts Company (NYSE:GPC), a Fortune 250 company. He also was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey Company, concentrating on strategy and marketing in technology and financial service industries, and worked in investment banking at CSFB .

Mr. McIlwain is a Technology Advisor to the Discovery Institute, a board member of Villa Academy, and advisory board member for Families Northwest. He teaches a course on venture capital in the University of Washington Technology MBA Program. He is a graduate of Dartmouth College, holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.
