Who was Melville Macnaghten?
Sir Melville Leslie Macnaghten CB KPM was Assistant Commissioner of the London Metropolitan Police from 1903 to 1913.
He is known for a major report in 1894 on the Jack the Ripper case, naming three possible Jack the Ripper suspects.
