Who is Melvin Booker?
Melvin Jermaine Booker is an American former professional basketball player. A 6'1", 185 lb point guard, he played collegiately for the Missouri Tigers. Booker was the 1994 Big Eight Player of the Year when he led Missouri to an undefeated conference record of 14-0 and an Elite Eight birth. Booker was an all Big Eight selection is both 1993 and 1994 and was a first-team all-American in 1994. Despite these accomplishments, Booker wasn't selected in the 1994 NBA Draft.
Booker was elected to the Hall of Fame of the Intercollegiate Athletics of the University of Missouri in 1999.
He played for the Houston Rockets, Denver Nuggets and Golden State Warriors in the NBA for 32 games.
