Who is Michael A. Neider?

Michael Antone Neider is an American leader in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a counselor to Charles W. Dahlquist II in the general presidency of the Young Men organization of the LDS Church from 2004 to 2009.

Neider was born in Pocatello, Idaho and raised in Tyhee, Idaho. He served as an LDS Church missionary in the Central Atlantic States Mission of the church. Neider obtained a law degree from Brigham Young University.

Neider has also been a stake president and a bishop in the church. At the April 2004 church general conference, Neider was accepted by the church as the second counselor to Charles W. Dahlquist II in the general presidency of the Young Men organization. Dahlquist and his counselors were released in April 2009.

Neider married Rosemary Curtis in the Salt Lake Temple in 1971. The couple are the parents of eight children and reside in Sandy, Utah, where Neider is an executive in his own construction-materials manufacturing business.

Neider became the president of the Las Vegas Nevada Mission of the LDS Church in July 2011; it is expected that he will serve in this position until June 2014.
