Who is Modestas Paulauskas?
Modestas Paulauskas is a retired Lithuanian basketball player who won gold with the Soviet basketball team in the 1972 Olympic basketball tournament. He also won a bronze medal with the team at the 1968 Summer Olympics. Paulauskas trained at VSS Žalgiris in Kaunas. He is known as one of the best players of all-time of Lithuania. He had a tremendous dribbling ability and he was "foot-ahead player" of his generation. He has won Lithuanian Sportsman of the Year award 7 times, the most times of all Lithuania'n sportsman. He was named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1991. At the current time, he works as a coach with youngsters.
