Who was Mohammed ibn Rushayd?
Mohammed Ibn Rushayd or Muhibb al-Din Abu Abdallah Mohammed ibn Umar ibn Rushayd al-Fihri al-Sabti was a judge, writer and scholar of Hadith, born in Sabta, Spain. He is especially famous as a traveller and author of a well-known rihla. He was a near contemporary of Ibn Battuta and the author of 18 works.
