Who was Montagu Venables-Bertie, 2nd Earl of Abingdon?

Montagu Venables-Bertie, 2nd Earl of Abingdon PC was an English nobleman. The eldest son of James Bertie, 1st Earl of Abingdon and Eleanora Lee, he was styled Lord Norreys until he succeeded his father as 2nd Earl of Abingdon on the latter's death on the 22 May 1699. On his death in 1743 he was succeeded in his titles by his nephew, Willoughby Bertie, 3rd Earl of Abingdon.
