Who was Monty Basgall?
Romanus "Monty" Basgall was a coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1973 to 1986.
Prior to joining the Dodgers staff, he played second base for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1948 to 1951 and worked as a scout and minor league manager with the Dodgers from 1959 to 1972.
