Neil W. Duffin

Who is Neil W. Duffin?

Born in St. Andrews, Scotland in the United Kingdom and a graduate of Heriot Watt University with a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering, Neil Duffin is currently the Vice President, Africa at ExxonMobil Production Company. His primary responsibility is for West African countries.Neil joined Mobil Oil Company in the North Sea, UK in 1979. His experience includes general exposure to many different functional groups involved in oil and gas exploration. Beginning in 1983 Neil was actively involved in planning satellite filed development as an operations engineer based in London. In 1986, he became subsea operationsand well test supervisor in the UK offshore sector. He took on the position of Platform Manager in the Beryl Field in 1989 and became producing advisor for Europe and Africa based in Fairfax headquarters beginning in 1992. Neil had major involvement in the increasedactivity of Nigeria. Neil returned to Aberdeen, Scotland in 1995 as operations and northern North Sea manager and senior representative for Mobil North Sea Ltd. In 1998, Neil was named Senior Vice President for Mobil Oil Indonesia with responsibility for exploration and producing operations throughout the country. Neil was named Vice President, ExxonMobil DevelopmentCompany with responsibility for CIS/Middle East Projects in 2000 andheld that position until his current promotion. He is married with two children.
