Nenad Popović

Who is Nenad Popović?

Nenad Popovic, PhD is Vice-President of National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, Vice-President of the Democratic Party of Serbia and President of the Economic Council of the DSS.

He was born in Tuzla in 1966. He graduated from the Faculty of Machine Engineering in Belgrade. He finished his Master and PhD studies at the Faculty of Economy in Moscow.

He is the owner and president of the international company ABS Electro, engaged in the production of electro-technical equipment, creating advanced engineering solutions for a variety of industries such as electrical power, shipbuilding, oil, gas, metal, mining and others.

He teaches at the Faculty of Economy of Moscow’s Lomonosov University and the Faculty of Economy of the Moscow State Mining University.

Mr. Popovic published eight books and over 120 scientific papers in the area of economy and regional development.

Since June 2008 Mr. Popovic is a Member of Parliament of the Republic of Serbia.

In December 2012 he was appointed head of the parliamentary group of friendship between Serbia and Russia.
