Who is Nicky Orr?

Nicholas 'Nicky' Orr is an Irish retired hurler who played as a full-back for the Kilkenny senior team from 1971 until 1976.

Orr joined the Kilkenny team during the 1971 championship and became a regular player over subsequent seasons. During that time he won two All-Ireland winner's medals, three Leinster winner's medals and one National League winner's medal. In 1974 Orr captained the team to the All-Ireland title.

At club level Orr is Leinster medalist with Feniana. In addition to this he has also won five county club championship winners' medals.
