Who was Nikolay Demyanov?

Nikolay Yakovlevich Demyanov, also known as Demjanov and Demjanow, was an organic chemist of the Russian Empire and later the Soviet Union, and a member of the USSR Academy of Sciences. He is internationally known for the Demjanov rearrangement organic reaction and other discoveries.

He was a recipient of Lenin Prize in 1930.
