Who is Omoreka?

Omoreka is a Danish band from Copenhagen, Denmark.

Omoreka started out as a solo project with producer Peter Lehmann and he was primarily working from his own recording studio Baandkraft. After his studio burned down in late 2007, Peter Lehmann focused on his career as a singer, and collected 13 songs for the debut album, that he had been working on in the time between sessions. However "This Year" has never been released due to disagreements with his record label Morris Music. Omoreka parted with Morris Music in late 2010 without releasing any music. Omoreka became a four-piece band when Sune bjerg, Jakob Gravlund and Lennart Wendt joined Omoreka in 2008. Jakob and Lennart left the band in 2010 to be replaced by Steven Ardilsø and Christoffer Hede. Christoffer left the band in 2013. Omoreka is currently a trio.

Omoreka has toured with Jeremy Enigk, and opened for 3 Doors Down. The first singles and title song of still unreleased album ”This year” has received wide airplay in Denmark.

Omoreka signed up with Million Dollar Management in Feb. 2010 and Metropolitan Talent in Feb. 2012

In August 2011 Omoreka won mtvU's The Freshmen with the song/video "Turn My Head"
