Oren Hurvitz

Who is Oren Hurvitz?

Oren is an accomplished RD

manager with years of experience in leading development teams in a wide

variety of fields. He joined Vringo in May 2006 to head up the

development of our server-based application.

Prior to

joining Vringo, Oren was the founder of Centico Ltd., where he merged

his passions for photography and entrepreneurship by creating a rich

digital photo management application. He was also the VP of RD at

HumanEyes Technologies, a privately-held company which creates software

for producing visual 3D effects for printing.

Previously,

Oren managed several client and server teams at OmniSky Corporation,

where he was responsible for the development of cutting edge mobile

applications including a location-based Instant Messaging application,

a wireless email solution for Palm and PocketPC devices, and a wireless

communications acceleration server.

Oren began his

career at Wizcom Technologies, where he played a key role in the

development of the Quicktionary, a pen-shaped scanning dictionary with

OCR. The Quicktionary and its successors have sold nearly 1 million

copies worldwide.

He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the Hebrew University.
