Who was Ossi Blomqvist?

Ossian Ossi Blomqvist was a Finnish speed skater who competed in the 1928 Winter Olympics, in the 1932 Winter Olympics, and in the 1936 Winter Olympics.

In 1928 he finished tenth in the 5000 metres event. He also started in the abandoned 10000 metres competition.

Four years later he participated in the 1500 metres event, in the 5000 metres competition, and in the 10000 metres event but was eliminated in the heats in all three contests.

At the 1936 Games he finished fifth in the 10000 metres competition, sixth in the 5000 metres event, ninth in the 1500 metres competition, and 19th in the 500 metres competition.
