Who is Predrag Bubalo?

Predrag Bubalo is a Serbian politician who held various ministerial positions in the Government of Serbia under Prime Minister Vojislav Koštunica.

Firstly, he became the Minister of Industry and Privatization in October 2004, replacing Dragan Maršićanin. Prior to that, Bubalo was the Minister of International Economic Relations. He was also the Minister of Trade and Services in the Government of Serbia between 2007 and 2008. He was succeeded by Slobodan Milosavljević.

He received a PhD from the University of Novi Sad's Faculty of Law. Since 2002, Bubalo had been the general manager of Kikinda-based foundry Kikinda.

On 3 September 2010, The Anti-Corruption Council of Serbia has made public a list of persons facing criminal charges related to the privatization of the Port of Belgrade company. The criminal complaint was filed three months earlier against 17 persons for abusing their official position during the 2005 privatization. Among them are former minister Predrag Bubalo, officials of the Privatization Agency of Serbia, and businessman Milan Beko.
