His brothers were Quintus Tineius Rufus and Quintus Tineius Clemens.
He married Volusia Laodice, born c. 165, daughter of usurper Emperor Avidius Cassius and wife Volusia Vettia Maeciana, and had a daughter Tineia, born c. 195, who married Tiberius Clodius Pupienus Pulcher Maximus, son of later Emperor Pupienus and wife Sextia Cethegilla.
